4 Wiston Gardens Wins Two Architecture Awards                                             June 2009

Following the Woollahra Conservation Award and the National Trust Commendation for Adaptive Reuse Award, this house at Wiston Gardens wins the AIA Heritage Award and Residential Award for alterations and additions.

The house designed by Leslie Wilkinson in the 1930s has found a well intended owner that loved the original house and decided to restore it and complement it with additions.  The skill was to locate the sizeable additions on the site without diminishing the existing house and the gardens.
