On the Cliffs of Stanwell Park                                                                       May 2008

It is a dream site overlooking north on the beach of Stanwell Park and the coast of the Royal National Park.  The client is the perfect client, with sustainable architecture as a priority.  The house has rammed earth walls, large eaves, cross ventilation and shuttered windows to maintain a comfortable environment all year long without heating and cooling.

The Pavilion, close to the cliff, is loosely attached to the existing house.  The pavilion with the living spaces and the parent’s bedroom and the existing house with the four kids and their friends.  They meet on the deck in the middle.
