Rewards and Awards

It is very rewarding after long and often difficult working relationships with Council to find ones efforts awarded during the annual awards season. Congratulations are in order for the architects that scooped up prizes at the 2011 Mosman Design Awards. Of particular note was Louise Nettleton’s Burrawong Avenue house that took out the award for Contribution to the Built Environment and the People’s Choice award, and Popov Bass Architects Markham Close house that collected the award for New House Design.  Luigi Rosselli Architects found themselves amongst solid competition but came away with a Commendation in Streetscape Contribution and Sustainability for the Euralyus Street residence in Beauty Point, as well as the Award for Residential Adaptive Reuse for the Curraghbeena Road residence in Mosman.  These projects could not have been brought to fruition without the work of Simon Hassall and Edward Birch who worked as Project Architects on the two projects respectively.

These awards join another prize recently awarded to Luigi Rosselli Architects at the Randwick Urban Design Awards at the end of 2010. The house in Murra Murra Place, Little Bay, took out the New Single Dwelling House category Award thanks to the work of Corrado Palleschi who saw the work through as Project Architect.
