Restaurant on the Harbour
Luigi Rosselli has won a limited competition to design a new restaurant in a prestigious Sydney harbourfront location.
Completion – September 2011
Luigi's sketch depicts the restaurant's elevated kitchen and bar area, framed by robust concrete trusses. The design draws inspiration from the industrial bridges of Milan's Navigli canal.

The waterfront facade shows structural columns functioning as architectural trees. Clad in modern floral mosaic tiles, these columns connect the interior dining space to the natural landscape of the harbour.

Hand-blown sculptural glass pendants are shown hanging throughout, adding a delicate, whimsical glow.

A perspective view focuses on the restaurant's industrial fitout, featuring wine storage units modeled after factory floor pigeon-hole racks. Mild steel elements with visible welds and fixings are incorporated throughout the design to reflect a raw, industrial heritage.
